This 20′s Vega tubaphone tenor has a lovely birds-eye maple neck. The scale length is 21 inches with 17 frets; this banjo could easily be tuned G D A E for Irish tenor. Big old rim, 11 7/8 for a chunky bassy sound. It used to have a resonator, as reflected by the screw hole in the dowel. Skin head, original hard case. Condition is most excellent with a straight neck, good frets and ebony board. Some plating wear on the hooks. Friction tuners, probably original too.
