A gorgeous little Collings 00-2HG guitar from the fine folks in Austin. This 12 fretter sports a German spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, a bound slot peg head and fret board and an ebony pyramid bridge. Of course the H is for herringbone. As we experiment with woods, we are becoming very partial to European spruces, the German and Italian, which were of course used in European violins for centuries. This wood produces a wonderful clear tone with a strong fundamental. The rosewood adds to the bass response, giving a strong clear powerful low register. So translated into this small guitar, you have a pure strong tone, excellent for finger picking. Maple Leaf Music Company
