Bourgeois Country Boy 00 New Please call or email for price New Listing
An all mahogany 00 sized guitar- 14 1/2" lower bout. One of the sweetest, blusiest small guitars we've seen in years. A great copy of the Martin 00-15. YES YES YES! And this is the very first one they've made! This guitar has been sold but we just ordered another one, due around the first of March. Photos are of the guitar that was sold but I'm leaving them up so you can get an idea of what she will look like. This guitar arrived yesterday April 2 and we will have photos up next week.

Bourgeois Country Boy OM New Please call or email for price
Mahogany and Sitka spruce, our most popular and least expensive of the designer OM guitars. Incredible dark woody Martin sound. One Heckofa guitar!
On order for the first week in December. We hope. We can't keep this guitar in stock, then when we sell it we have to wait another 4 months for the new one...The photos are of the last one we sold, but it's so pretty we kept them up.

Bourgeois OMS New Please call or email for price
One of our favorite classic Bourgeois models- Adi top, Indian back and sides, slot head and 12 frets to the body. A lot of head room-and unlike many small guitars, this baby begs to be dug into. She's very balanced from the bass all the way across the mids to the treble. Very versatile, but gutsy and not an introspective guitar. No pick guard. More photos are available on request.

Brazilian Corner
As you probably know by now, Brazilian Rosewood is becoming increasingly difficult to get and isaccordingly more expensive every year. Collings Guitars has stopped taking orders for the wood. The smaller makers that we represent including Bourgeois, Huss & Dalton,Santa Cruz, and Froggy Bottom still have supplies of excellent qualilty wood, but what with the current trend, this won't last forever! So here is our current selection of these fabulous guitar!
Please also be advised the due to the CITES Treaty we are not able to or allowed to ship Brazilian guitars outside of the United States.

Froggy Bottom C Anniversary New Please call or email for price New Listing
On order- a match for the H-12 currently in stock. Engraved inlays by Glen Carlson, old-style Brazilian with an Adirondack top.Abalone top and fret-board binding, abalone rosette and back stripe with an engraved heel cap. We can't wait to see her!

Froggy Bottom H-12 40th Anniversary New Please call or email for price
This 40th Anniversary H-12 Froggy Bottom is the most perfect, most beautiful guitar we has ever had at Maple Leaf Music. Let's start with the basics. The wood is Michael's old Martin-style straight-grained Brazilian rosewood with a Brazilian-overlayed slot peg-head. The top is first grade red Adirondack spruce. The fingerboard is inlayed with pearl engraved by master engraver Glenn Carson (for more stunning examples of his work please visit Will Fielding's web site at http:www.fieldingbanjos.com/inlays.html). The Froggy Bottom frog in the peg-head is also engraved in a 19th century Fairbanks/Consalvi style of engraving. The autumn leaves on the heel-cap are engraved and colored by Petria Mitchell. Basically this is one classy guitar, stylistically elegant, whole and complete. The sound is magnificent and will only get better; a finger-picker's dream. This guitar is one of 12 40th Anniversary models that will be produced this year by Michael Millard and his crew; only 6 are being offered to stores and this is the second one made so far in the series! A collectors paradise for sure. More photos on request.

Huss and Dalton 00-SP New Please call or email for price New Listing
SHHH! Don't tell her that she's a very small guitar because her voice is so huge she thinks she's a Dread. Aaron bar-chorded all the way up the neck and said that this is one of the most balanced guitars he's ever played- not an iota of drop off in volume as he went up. Open, clear and incredibly responsive, this is one of the best sounding guitars Huss has ever made. Flashy Brazilian rosewood and tasteyfully bearclawed Adirondack ( and this from a lady who doesn't really like breaclaw!). !2 frets, slot peg-head, 1 3/4 nut and 24.9" scale, 14" lower bout. More photos on request.

Huss and Dalton DS Custom New Please call or email for price
Another gorgeous slope-D from the boys in Virginia. One of the best Adirondack tops we've seen, matched by stunning Brazilian Rosewood on the back and sides. Loud, even, sweet tone. 1 3/4 nut. You can't get any better than this! More photos on request.

Huss and Dalton TDR Custom 2008 Used $5,800.00

Huss and Dalton TOM-R Custom New Please call or email for price
Oooh this baby is unbelievable! An OM Brazilian with a short scale and 1 3/4 fret board. Mostly straight grained, old-fashioned Martin type dark Brazilian with a perfect, even grained classically fine Sitka top. The sound is beyond luscious!

Huss and Dalton TOM-R Custom New Please call or email for price
Hot off the presses! Right out of the spray booth. This is another of our current Huss and Dalton best sellers, fondly named "Kate's Special". Designed after the Martin OOO-28, she features Brazilian Rosewood, first grade Sitka top, short scale and 1 11/16 nut.Strong, well balance, sweet with plenty of punch for either gutsy fingerpicking or Carter Family old-timey flat picking. More pictures on request.

Martin 1-21 1914 Used $4,000.00
A little sweet heart from the days when Brazilian Rosewood was The Only Rosewood and it was great! This little parlor guitar has of course seen some things we can only read about in the history books and she has had a few repairs over the years. But for as old as she is she is in most excellent condition.
For the repairs- the bridge has been replaced three times. This last bridge, built by Nashville picker and repairman Rick Starkey. It is the most unfortunate part of the package, as whoever replaced it before Rick did put on an oversized bridge and excised the top finish when it was done. So Rick had to decide whether he should put on the correct sized bridge, leaving a big area around it with no finish- ugly to be sure- or put on another large bridge. There was really no question of how to approach the problem, so the Starkey bridge is also larger than the original. Onto the rest of the guitar. The tuners have been replaced with appropriate open gear nickel Grovers. One back crack and a couple side cracks have been glued and cleated. The top is wonderfully crackless. As for sound, Aaron says :super sweet! She rings all day, very open sounding. Amazing! She came in in an old cardboard case, so we were most fortunate that the TKL cases made for the Canadian Godin parlor guitars are a perfect fit! Guess where they got their dimensions! Call or write for more photos.

Collings

Collings 00-2H 1999 Used $2,800.00 New Listing
A lovely little guitar, well played and loved for the last decade. Indian Rosewood and Sitka spruce with a 12 fret neck, pyramid bridge and slot peghead. There are a couple minor scratches in the top bass bout, not through the finish. Otherwise she's in most excellent condition. Great Fingerpicker with that excellent Collings sound. Original hard case.

Collings 290 New Please call or email for price
You can't visit the Colling shop today without travelling through the Texas hill country on HW 290. Named after this road, the 290 is a modern day tribute to the working man's rock and roll guitar. Amazing versitility in its tonal spectrum, she boasts a 24 7/8' scale, 1 11/16 nut and two hand wound P90"s by Jason Lollar. Solid Houduran mahogany body with high gloss nitrocellulose laquer, East Indian Rosewood fret board, hand set mortise and tenon neck joint, and Sperzel tuners. Ours is crimson red!

Collings City Limits Deluxe New Please call or email for price
Oooh is this baby amazing! Quilted maple dark cherry sunburst with black/white/black binding, parallelogram fret board inlays and shaped ivoroid tuners. Aaron says getting lost in the many tones available in this guitar is about as much fun as he's had checking out an electric in a while.
The photo was taken by Collings before any holes for bridge or pick-ups were drilled; more to follow. I put this one up because you just had to see the top on this baby!

Collings CJ 1999 Used $3,500.00 New Listing
Adirondack and mahogany- just about our favorite wood combination for sound. Aaron says she's growly and really rich! 1 3/4 nut and 25 1/2" scale. Minor finish issues- some belt buckle divots on the back and capo marks on the back of the neck, but structurally fine with no repairs. She has a functional pickup which we think is a Fishman Matrix Natural 1. More photos on request of course!

Collings CJsssb New Please call or email for price

Collings OM2HA New Please call or email for price
Hot off the press! 1 3/4 nut, Indian and Adi. Apologies, the top is very even in color but the photo shows shadows in an X. Not for real! The Adirondack top gives the overtones to make a perfect fingerpicking guitart.

Froggy Bottom H12 Deluxe Cutaway New Please call or email for price New Listing
On order for late August-early September. A mahogany cutaway 12 fretter with an Adirondack top and engraved heel cap. We have had several of this model over the years and it is a best seller for us because it's so darn good looking and great sounding! The 12 frets with the cutaway gives you that Froggy warmth and depth combined with the ability to play further up the neck. A real winner.

Huss and Dalton DS New Please call or email for price New Listing
Our most popular slope D. Very narrow grain Adirondack at the middle of the guitar with lovely Indian Rosewood. Brazilian headstock over-lay. 25 3/8 inch scale and 1 3/4 at the nut. A powerful guitar, and the mids are louder, sweeter and more balanced than any guitar I've ever played, and that's saying a lot! More photos on request.

Santa Cruz 1929-000 New Please call or email for price
An all-mahogany 000 sized guitar from sunny (rainy?) Southern California. Amazing rich woody sweet sound. Deep roaring bass, dry mids and trebles, more like a D or big guitar. Completely lacks the "Collings" tingling bright highs. A soulful bluesy guitar indeed. This guitar was sold at the end of February and we have another on order with the exquisite bees-wing mahogany. See the photos of the 1929-00 for an example of the wood.

Santa Cruz H-13 New Please call or email for price
She sports the new headstock logo, a NAMM special guitar. The Santa Cruz version of the old Gibson Nick Lucas. This is one fine guitar- Aaron's favorite pick! Lots of bass but well balanced and sweet up the neck. Pyramid bridge and fancy non-herringbone marquetry binding. No fret markers but 13 frets to the neck thus the model designation! The neck is very defined "V" but not bulky- very easy to play. The sound is very dark and creamy with wicked strong mids. She's ready to go home with a blues fingerpicker! The folks in California really got this one righ. More photos on request.

This new line of Guilds is truly great! Appointments such as wood binding, bone nut and saddle, Grover tuners, snowflake inlays, all solid woods, high gloss finish and really cool gray and red-bound tweed case add up to guitars costing three times as much were they not made in China. This Indian rosewood dreadnaught has a warm mellow sound that's even across the range. This model is also available left-handed.

Mahogany and Sitka with a 1 3/4 nut. I love the sound of this guitar. She sings across the shop when someone plays her. Like a good 50's 000 Martin mahogany guitar.

Martin
It was with great sorrow in the year of 2007, we discontinued our Martin dealership of nearly 30 years. I deeply regret the loss of an American icon. However, their stocking requirements and the deep discount pressures from the big box stores combined to make carrying the line untenable for us. The remaining new instruments on this web site are priced at 40% off list. We continue to welcome any Martin guitar as a trade in here.
