All mahogany Big Muddy with the wide (1 1/4″) fret board. We’ve had calls for these over the years, so Mike very accommodatingly made one for us! Really nice woody sound, especially for strumming chords according to Christian. These Big Muddys are copies of the Gibson Army-Navy mandolins, made during the war for folks on a budget. Slap two flat pieces of wood on a bent oval frame, add a neck and voila! An affordable mandolin. Hard case add $100, gig bag add $40.
