Collings UC3 M SB Custom Concert Ukulele

This concert sized Collings UC3 M SB custom ukulele features a lovely tangerine sunburst with tight grained chatoyant spruce and highly figured curly maple.  The tone is delicate and resonate with warmth and sparkle.  This ukulele is setup perfectly which makes it easy to play both fingerstyle and chordally.   The percussive nature tips it hat to good jazz archtops.  I rank this in the top three concerts I’ve ever played for sustain and playability.  As for construction, this Collings concert ukulele represents perfection in an ukulele:  point-to-point everything is fit, inlaid, and setup perfectly.  The soundhole has an abalone rosette, binding is tortoise, and the backstripe is a custom maple and ebony marketry.  The fretboard and peghead is Brazilian rosewood which is a perfect color contrast to the finish.
