Well they-the boys- talked me into this one-a Collings UT2 Custom uke with a dog-hair finish. It’s a black with white filler in the grain, ivoroid purfling, and a hair-cut peg head. The peg head has “Collings” engraved into genuine white MOTO. You don’t know MOTO? Well I’m not sure it’s in the dictionary but it is a genuine instrument term and stands for Mother Of TOilet seat. You know, one of those 30′s plastic wonders with great sheen and depth in the pattern. The ultimate kitsch! Handsome, clever or truly tasteless? Yadabadoo! You decide. Warm round mahogany sound with excellent volume.
